The MA Lighting grandMA2 Light is a full-featured lighting control console built for programming and playback across conventional fixtures, moving lights, LEDs, video, and media. Designed for fast, hands-on operation, it supports complex show structures with an intuitive workflow for building cues, sequences, pages, and effects. It is ideally suited as a backup device for the grandMA2 full-size.
Control Capacity and Expandability
The grandMA2 light provides real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session when used in connection with an MA NPU (equivalent to 256 DMX universes), and supports 4,096 HTP-/LTP parameters for flexible control across a wide range of fixture types. With 6 DMX outputs on the console, it can also integrate easily into standalone or hybrid networked systems.
Hands-On Playback and Programming Workflow
For live operation and efficient programming, the console features 15 motorized executor faders, 2 motorized A/B fader (100mm), and individually backlit, dimmable silent (clickless) keys. An integrated keyboard drawer helps keep the programming surface compact while maintaining a familiar workstation feel.
Displays, Connectivity, and Touring Practicality
Built for multi-screen show control, it includes 2 internal TFT wide mode touchscreens (15.4" WXGA) and 1 internal command screen, multi-touch (9" SVGA)*. You can connect up to 2 external TFT screens (UXGA, touchscreens accepted) for expanded views of layouts, fixtures, and playback. Connectivity includes 2 Ethercon connectors and 5 USB 2.0 connectors.
For production environments where uptime matters, the built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) helps protect against brief power interruptions. The motorized monitor wing adds ergonomic positioning for extended programming sessions.
