The MA Lighting grandMA2 Light is a powerful lighting control console built for professional environments where speed, reliability, and flexible playback matter. Designed to run conventional fixtures, moving lights, LEDs, video, and media from a single surface, it supports fast programming workflows for live shows, tours, houses of worship, and venue installations. It is also ideally suited as a backup device for the grandMA2 full-size, providing a familiar platform for show continuity.

Control Capacity and Playback Workflow

The grandMA2 Light provides real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session in connection with an MA NPU (equivalent to 256 DMX universes), along with 4,096 HTP-/LTP parameters for session control. With 15 motorized executor faders plus two motorized A/B faders (100mm), it is well suited for hands-on playback, busking, and cue-heavy productions where physical controls and consistent fader positions are important.

Connectivity, Displays, and On-Console Ergonomics

For integration into modern networks and control setups, the console includes 6 DMX outputs, 2 Ethercon connectors, and 5 USB 2.0 connectors. The interface includes two internal TFT wide mode touchscreens (15.4" WXGA), support for two external TFT screens (UXGA, touchscreens accepted), and one internal command screen, multi-touch (9" SVGA). Day-to-day usability is enhanced with the integrated keyboard drawer, motorized monitor wing, and individually backlit and dimmable silent (clickless) keys.

Physical Specs and Power Protection

For touring and event use, the built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) helps protect against brief power interruptions. Dimensions are 36.8" x 25.7" x 8", and the console weighs 81.6 lbs.
