The MA Lighting grandMA2 Light is a compact grandMA2-series lighting control console built for professional programming and playback of conventional fixtures, moving lights, LEDs, video, and media. It delivers the fast, hands-on workflow grandMA2 is known for, with a surface designed to keep show control responsive during rehearsals and live cues.
Programming and Playback Workflow
With an interface geared for speed, the grandMA2 Light supports extensive show building, including a very large number of presets, cues, pages, sequences, and effects. It is also ideally suited as a backup device for the grandMA2 full-size, making it a practical choice for touring packages, rental inventories, and venues that want a compatible spare on hand.
Connectivity and Expansion
For system integration, the console provides 6 DMX outputs for direct fixture control, plus network connectivity via 2 Ethercon connectors. It can also scale for larger rigs through MA NPU, offering real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session (equivalent to 256 DMX universes) in connection with MA NPU.
Control Surface, Displays, and Power Protection
The operator surface is built for live playback and programming efficiency with 15 motorized executor faders, 2 motorized A/B faders (100mm), an integrated keyboard drawer, and individually backlit, dimmable silent (clickless) keys. Visual feedback is handled by 2 internal TFT wide mode touchscreens (15.4" WXGA) plus an internal multi-touch command screen (9" SVGA), and you can connect 2 external TFT screens (UXGA, touchscreens accepted) to expand your workspace. A built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) helps protect the session and keeps the console stable during brief power interruptions.
