The Robert Juliat Cyrano 2500W HMI Followspot is built for precision key lighting at extreme throw distances in large theatres, arenas, and stadiums. With a narrow 3° to 8° zoom and a unique dimmer shutter design, Cyrano is designed to keep a flat beam and consistent colour temperature while dimming, making it a practical choice for opera, broadcast, and other productions where smooth fades and clean edges matter.

Long-Throw Optics and Controlled Beam Shaping

Cyrano’s tight zoom range helps concentrate output for super-long throw applications. A progressive frost filter on a flip lever provides a quick soft-edge option when you need a less defined beam. Focus changes are made fast with a fast-locking focus handle, and a graduated scale on the side of the unit makes it easy to return to a known focus point during refocus.

Confident Dimming and Operator Ergonomics

The smooth dimmer shutter is designed to retain beam flatness and colour temperature as you fade, which is especially useful for on-camera work and musical or theatrical cues. The ergonomic dimmer control supports one-handed dimming while still allowing pan and tilt control for responsive tracking.

Colour and Pattern Options for Live and Broadcast

For fast colour changes, Cyrano uses a 6-way, self-cancelling boomerang colour-changer. Colour correction (CTO) and two spare filter frames are available on a flip lever, and individually removable colour frames allow gels to be swapped without pulling the full cassette. For texture and breakup, the gobo holder accepts glass and metal gobos, and the fully closing iris cassette is removable for quick replacement, with a protective backplate intended to extend service life. An optional horizontal chopper is available for masking control, useful in TV studios and on wide stages.

Rigging, Balance, and Stability

An adjustable yoke supports overhead positioning, while an easy-to-balance counterweight helps maintain steady movement at long throws. The included stand is designed for stability and smooth rotation, with a triple safety system for added security.
