The Vari-Lite VL2500 Wash (Pkg of 2) is a compact, fast-moving wash luminaire package built for touring rigs, event production, and installed stages that need bright output, wide zoom flexibility, and repeatable movement cues. With a 700-watt short-arc lamp, high lumen output, and a 14° to 55.5° zoom range, these fixtures cover everything from tighter aerial looks to wide, even stage washes.

Color, Zoom, and Beam Control for Versatile Wash Looks

The VL2500 Wash uses a three-filter CYM cross-fading color mixing system for smooth transitions and nuanced color palettes. For quick, repeatable color hits, a fixed color wheel includes 11 interchangeable color filters plus an open position, with continuous rotation available for additional effects.

For coverage control, the zoom optics provide a continuously variable field angle from 14° to 55.5°. A zoomable beam spreader mechanism allows continuous beam size control, making it easy to execute rapid changes or smooth timed beam angle adjustments during cues.

Performance Controls for Cues and Live Operation

Intensity is managed with a coated glass dimmer wheel for full-field dimming designed for smooth timed fades. A high-performance dual-blade strobe system supports ultra-fast strobe operation for accents and rhythmic looks.

Movement Range and Precision

Smooth, time-controlled continuous pan and tilt motion is driven by three-phase stepper motor systems, supporting a wide 540° pan and 270° tilt range. With 0.3° resolution, the VL2500 Wash is well-suited for repeatable focus positions in programmed shows. Each fixture weighs 57.3 lbs (26.1 kg) for planning load-in and rigging.
