The Extron DTP T HWP 4K 231 D is a single‑gang decorator‑style HDMI transmitter designed for extending HDMI video, analog audio, and bidirectional RS‑232 and IR control over one shielded CATx cable to Extron DTP®-enabled products. It is built for clean, space‑efficient installations in wall mounts, floor boxes, and furniture, placing input connections exactly where they are needed at the source.

Reliable HDMI and Control Extension Over CATx

Send HDMI plus control signals up to 230 feet (70 meters) when used with shielded twisted pair cabling. This makes the DTP T HWP 4K 231 D a practical fit for classrooms, conference rooms, and other commercial AV spaces where sources are located at a wall plate but displays and switching equipment are located in a rack or behind the display.

4K Video Support with Audio Integration

The transmitter supports video signals at resolutions up to 4K and can accept additional analog stereo audio for simultaneous transmission over the same shielded twisted pair cable. This is useful when a source provides HDMI video but separate analog audio is required for the room audio system or downstream processing.

Cabling and System Compatibility

For optimal performance, Extron XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair cable is strongly recommended. The unit is compatible with CATx shielded twisted pair cable and is intended to be paired with Extron DTP®-enabled receivers, switchers, or other DTP endpoints.
