The Extron USB Extender Plus T Transmitter extends and switches USB signals from peripheral devices to a host computer over long distances, making it ideal for AV, education, healthcare, and control-room installs where the computer must be kept in a secure rack while USB devices remain at the user location. It sends USB over a Gigabit Ethernet network up to 1,980 feet (600m), or point-to-point up to 330 feet (100m) over a single CATx cable.
Long-Range USB Extension Over CATx or Gigabit Ethernet
The USB Extender Plus Series supports USB 2.0 through 1.0 devices with data rates up to 480 Mbps. It is also compatible with USB 3.0 devices that can operate at USB 2.0 data rates, enabling bulk, control, interrupt, and isochronous transfers as defined by the USB specification. For larger deployments, one transmitter can connect to multiple receivers. Using a Gigabit Ethernet switch, one transmitter can support up to four receivers via an IP network.
Reliable HID Operation and Visible Status for Troubleshooting
The transmitter features peripheral emulation to support uninterrupted communication between the host and the USB device, ensuring USB port recognition during system boot-up, even without a connected keyboard or mouse. Real-time status LED indicators provide visual confirmation of system activity and port activity between an active host and each connected peripheral device.
System Expansion and Control Integration
A USB switching controller lets you easily create small or large USB switching systems. Any switcher configuration using up to 64 USB Extender Plus transmitters and receivers can be configured using one controller, enabling the use of serial or IP commands for integration into a control system.
