The Disguise gx 1 Media Server is a compact, high power-density media server built for generative and interactive real-time content, where higher resolution and smoother frame-rates matter. With a single VFC slot, the gx 1 can be configured to scale up to one 4K output or four HD outputs. With fewer outputs, the server can focus more processing headroom on responsive, generative visuals for live events, installations, and immersive experiences.

Output Configuration for Live Playback and Real-Time Graphics

The gx 1 provides 1x DisplayPort 1.2 (Stage) output with up to 4096 x 2160 maximum resolution. Supported media playback formats include .mov (anim, pjpg, DXV, Hap, Hap Q), with still image support for .png, .jpeg, .bmp, .tiff, and .tga, plus .obj 3D mesh support for workflows that incorporate geometry-based content.

Video I/O and Sync for Broadcast and Show Control

For capture, routing, or integration into SDI-based environments, the server supports 3x HD-SDI or 2x 3G-SDI video input. It also includes BNC Genlock for video sync, helping maintain stable timing when the gx 1 is used alongside other synchronized display, camera, or LED systems.

Audio and Timecode Integration

Audio file support includes .mp3 and .wav (44.1kHz, 16-bit, stereo). For show control and timeline synchronization, the gx 1 provides LTC timecode via 1x balanced XLR input, making it easier to align playback or generative content to external cues.

The gx 1 is powered by a Xeon Quad-Core 3.7Ghz CPU with 16GB DDR4 RAM. For media distribution and modern production networks, it includes 2x 10 Gigabit LAN ports, plus 5x USB 3.0 connections for data and peripherals. The unit operates on 100-240V, 50Hz power and measures 445mm (W) x 88.9mm (H) x 593mm (D), with a weight of 10.8kg.
