The Disguise d3 2x4pro Media Server is a 4U rack-mount media server built for demanding show control and real-time video playback in touring productions, multi-projector events, broadcast environments, and high-quality fixed installations. The d3 pro range, 4×4pro and 2×4pro set a standard for power and flexibility. They are suited for the most demanding touring productions, massive multi-projector shows, TV, broadcast and high-quality fixed installs. 

Show-Ready Video I/O for Playback and Capture

Designed for professional workflows that require dependable output and sync, the 2x4pro provides stage and operator display connectivity plus broadcast-grade video ingest. Stage outputs are delivered over DisplayPort 1.2, supporting up to 4096 x 2160 max, with a dedicated DisplayPort 1.2 GUI output for control and monitoring. For video input, it supports 4 x HD-SDI or 2 x 3G-SDI, making it suitable for integrating camera feeds or SDI-based sources into a media server pipeline.

Audio, Sync, and Control Integration

Audio connectivity is built for professional environments, including balanced XLR inputs and outputs, a 1/4" headphone jack, and digital audio via ADAT/SPDIF I/O. The system includes RME Professional audio hardware, and provides MIDI In/Out for show control integration. For timing-critical playback, BNC Genlock is included for video sync.

Networking for Control and Media Workflows

Connectivity is separated to support common production network setups, including Gigabit LAN for general networking, a dedicated Gigabit LAN for Art-Net, and 2 x 10Gb/sec LAN for media networking.

Hardware Platform and Rack Deployment

Built into a 4U 19” rack mount chassis, the server runs Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB on an Intel Xeon quad-core 3.7Ghz CPU with 16GB DDR4 RAM. Storage includes 2 x 80GB SSD (internal system drive) and a 2TB internal SSD for media. Power input supports 100-240V, 50-60Hz, with power consumption rated at 450W @ 110V (normal) and 500W @ 110V (max). Physical dimensions are 445mm/17.52" W x 178mm/7" H x 593mm/23.35" D, with a weight of 36.5lbs / 16.2kg.
