The Altman UV-705 Blacklight is a compact, high output blacklight floodlight designed to deliver a strong, even wash of UV illumination for fluorescent materials at distances up to 60 feet. Built for performance in theaters, events, and permanent installations, it provides impactful blacklight effects without fan noise, thanks to its passive cooling design.

High-Output UV Wash With Minimal Visible Light

A special UV filter lens helps block harmful UV-B and UV-C wavelengths and almost all visible light, keeping the focus on fluorescence rather than spill light. The lens assembly includes an integral wire mesh safety screen for added protection in demanding production environments.

Field Adjustable From Wide to Very Wide

An easy-to-use focusing mechanism lets you quickly adjust the beam from wide to very wide flood settings, making it easier to cover anything from scenic elements and props to larger stage areas without changing fixtures. Lamp access is through the lens door, and an automatic safety cutoff switch supports safer servicing workflows.

Integrated Electronics and Rugged Hardware

The UV-705 features compact, rugged construction with an integrated ballast and ignitor for streamlined setup and clean installation. A yoke is supplied with dual positive locking dogs for secure positioning and repeatable aiming. The fixture is E.T.L. and c.E.T.L. listed for 400 watts and weighs approximately 26 lbs. (11.7 kg.).
