Package of (2) TMB 10ft Proplex 5-Pin DMX Cables, Assembled

Proplex series data cables are built to survive the toughest conditions, yet handle and coil well, again and again and again. They have been exhaustively developed, tested and re-tested. For professional lighting control rigs, these 5-pin DMX cables provide a durable, consistent connection between consoles, splitters, and fixtures, with electrical characteristics matched to DMX data transmission.

Built for demanding production environments

Each cable uses 23 AWG tinned, annealed copper stranded conductors (19 x 34) with FEP insulation rated 200° C and 300 Volt, plus a Kevlar strength member to support repeated handling. A UV-resistant polyurethane jacket is designed for tough use and reliable coiling, with a minimum bend radius of 1.75”.

Shielding and signal characteristics for DMX data

The construction combines an aluminum/mylar inner shield (100% coverage) with an 85% coverage tinned copper braid outer shield to help reduce interference in busy cable runs. The cable is built to a 110 Ohms characteristic impedance, with capacitance of 13pf/ft nominal conductor-to-conductor and 25pf/ft nominal conductor-to-shield, supporting stable DMX signal integrity over typical stage and event distances.
