Description
The QVU150-3G is a hi-resolution mixer and seamless switcher with 8 inputs. Designed for live presentation and AV production workflows, it provides smooth transitions between sources while supporting computer formats up to 2K (2048 x 1152) for detailed content on modern displays and projectors.
Seamless Switching for Live Production
Built around a Program and Preview workflow, the Analog Way QVU150-3G offers 2 outputs (Program and Preview) for confident cueing and clean takes. It also includes 1 x 3G/HD/SD-SDI output plug that can be used as a video output or as a Program clone, making it easier to integrate the switcher into SDI-based systems.
For on-the-fly composition, the unit supports a resizable Live Background, an 8-frame library, and 8 Full Frames, along with transitions such as Fade (Dissolve), Cut, Wipe, and Slide. A dynamic layer enables motion effects like flying, zooming, and cropping when moving elements from A to B.
Flexible Connectivity and Format Support
The QVU150-3G provides 14 input plugs available, including 4 x DVI-D, 4 x HDMI, 4 x Universal Analog, and 2 x 3G/HD/SD-SDI, supporting a wide mix of computers and video sources. With 8 seamless inputs, it is well-suited for switching between multiple presenters, playback devices, cameras, and graphics without disrupting the audience experience.
Internal test patterns help with setup and troubleshooting, and the unit is HDCP compliant for handling protected HDMI/DVI content in supported workflows.
Integrated Audio Routing and Control
Audio is designed to follow the show. All audio inputs can be embedded or de-embedded on all plugs, with audio breakaway mode for independent audio and video switching. The QVU150-3G also includes audio delay compensation and balanced stereo audio on all outputs, plus 2 S/PDIF inputs and 2 S/PDIF outputs for digital audio integration.
Onboard Effects and Presets
For graphics and live compositing, the switcher includes Chroma/Luma Key and Titling. Recall settings quickly using 8 Memory Presets per output (64 via RCS²) to streamline repeatable events and fast scene changes.
