Please note this specific unit includes only three of the four modular ports pre‑configured, wired as three DMX output. Two additional ports remain available to configure as needed. Please note that this unit does not include an external power supply.

The ETC Net3 Four-Port DMX/RDM Gateway is a network-to-DMX distribution device designed for lighting systems that use industry-standard streaming ACN (sACN). It bridges Ethernet-based control to DMX512 and supports RDM for two-way communication, making it well suited for integrating networked consoles, nodes, and fixtures across stages, studios, and architectural installations.

Networking, DMX, and RDM in One Gateway

Built on ETC’s Net3 networking platform, the Four-Port Gateway uses bidirectional Ethernet communication with other network devices to send or receive DMX512 data and RDM messages. Each port can be configured for input or output, allowing the gateway to fit different workflows, such as distributing multiple DMX universes to remote locations or collecting DMX from a local source back onto the network.

Capacity and Port Flexibility

The gateway supports up to four DMX wiring connections and can transport up to 2048 channels of DMX over Ethernet. It supports Terminal Strip and RJ45 connections in any combination, providing flexibility when interfacing with existing cabling practices and installed infrastructure.

Power and Configuration

Power options include Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) or an external power supply. An integrated LCD displays status and configuration information for quick on-site checks, and the gateway is configured using Net3 Concert configuration software.

Standards and Compatibility

Supports Net3 using ACN and streaming ACN protocols and is ANSI E1.17 ACN protocol compatible, helping ensure interoperability with compatible networked control systems.
