The ETC Net3 Four-Port DMX/RDM Gateway is a DMX and RDM distribution device designed for Ethernet-based lighting networks using industry standard streaming ACN (sACN). It uses bidirectional Ethernet communication with other network devices to send or receive DMX512 data and RDM messages, making it a practical choice for moving DMX across an IP network and placing DMX outputs where you need them on a rig.
Networking and DMX Distribution
Built for networking systems using industry standard streaming ACN (sACN) protocol, the Four-Port Gateway is compatible with ETC network system products. Ports are configurable for input or output with Terminal Strip and RJ45 connections in any combination, letting you route DMX and RDM to suit your infrastructure and cabling preferences. In total, the gateway can transport up to 2048 channels of DMX over Ethernet (up to four universes).
Configuration, Status, and Power Options
The integrated LCD displays status and configuration information for quick on-site verification, and the unit is configured using Net3 Concert configuration software. Power is supported via Power over Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) or an external power supply (external power supply not included with this unit).
Standards and Compatibility
Supports Net3 using ACN and streaming ACN protocols and is ANSI E1.17 ACN protocol compatible. Supports Remote Device Management (RDM) for device discovery, addressing, and status feedback on compatible fixtures and devices.
