These Strand SL Ellipsoidal, 19 Degree lekos were purchased in 2009 and show signs of wear and tear. They have been well maintained and are in good working condition.

Designed for controlled, high-output stage and theatrical lighting, the Strand SL Ellipsoidal (19 Degree) delivers excellent light output, superb distribution and the smoothest soft edge while maintaining beam size. The 19 Degree optics are well suited for longer throws and tighter specials where precise focus, shutter cuts, and gobo projection matter.

Optics and Beam Control

The precision optical system is built around a high efficiency dichroic glass reflector and coated aspheric computer-designed lenses to keep output strong while maintaining a clean field. Coolbeam operation helps extend gobo, shutter and gel life, and the wide gate supports common accessories such as 2 gobo holders (including a glass gobo holder), a drop-in iris, or a rotating goboholder. For repeatable shaping, it supports sharp gobo, edge and shutter focus, and includes shutters in three planes for triangular shutter cut.

Performance with Energy-Efficient Lamping

Optimised for energy efficient, high performance GKV 600W lamps, it consumes significantly less energy while providing more light than most conventional 1000W/1200W spotlights. Lamp changes are designed to be straightforward, with lamp changes without affecting field setting and a bayonet action lamp changing system for simple handling. Fast and easy lamp centering with positive screw driver lock helps keep settings secure so that it won’t move in transit.

Rigging, Positioning, and Maintenance

Compact and lightweight, the fixture is designed to hang closer in tighter spaces, with highly versatile rigging by combining 360º rotation with two balance positions for yoke. Smooth 360º body rotation supports quick gobo and shutter positioning, and the large rear handle makes focusing and aiming easier. For upkeep, it provides quick and easy access for reflector and lens cleaning, and uses a common lamp house with easily interchangeable tubes.

Field Adjustment and Focus

Fast positive peak/flat adjustment via lead screw drive mechanism allows smooth, tool-free field settings, helping you tune the beam for the desired uniformity without slowing down a focus call.
