The Strand SL Series 26-degree ellipsoidal spotlight is a compact leko designed for clean, controllable stage lighting in theatres, schools, houses of worship, and event venues. The 26-degree lens tube provides a versatile beam angle for medium-throw front light, specials, and pattern projection where you need precise shaping and consistent coverage.

Optics and beam control

Built around a precision optical system, this fixture is designed for high light output with excellent distribution and a smooth soft edge while maintaining beam size. It supports sharp gobo imaging, defined shutter cuts, and accurate edge focus, making it a practical choice for both crisp template projection and clean area lighting.

Efficient 600W lamp performance

Optimised for energy efficient, high performance GKV 600W lamps, this unit is designed to consume significantly less energy while providing more light than many conventional 1000W/1200W spotlights. A high-efficiency dichroic glass reflector and coated, computer-designed aspheric lenses help maximize output and maintain a consistent field.

Rigging, focus, and maintenance

The SL’s narrow, lightweight body allows closer hanging in tighter spaces, while smooth 360º body rotation makes it quick to align gobos and shutters on the fly. Shutters in three planes support triangular shutter cuts, and the yoke design offers versatile balance options for easier positioning.

For day-to-day operation, lamp changes are designed to be fast and repeatable without affecting the field setting, and lamp centering uses a positive screwdriver lock to help prevent shifting in transit. Tool-free peak/flat adjustment via a lead screw drive mechanism supports smooth field tuning. Quick access points make routine reflector and lens cleaning straightforward, and the common lamphouse design supports interchangeable tubes for flexible configuration.

Accessory compatibility

The wide gate is designed to fit two gobo holders and accommodates common accessories such as a glass gobo holder, drop-in iris, or rotating goboholder. Coolbeam operation is intended to extend gobo, shutter, and gel life for productions that run long hours or require frequent refocusing.
