NEW Martin MAC Aura PXL

The Martin MAC Aura PXL expands the industry-standard MAC Aura wash light family with multi-lens output and Aura backlight technology for a bold, modern look on stage and on camera. Bigger and brighter than the MAC Aura, the PXL delivers significantly higher intensity and a tighter beam, along with a smaller face and a cleaner, less busy lens appearance than the MAC Quantum Wash. The larger “bubbles” create a more appealing front view and help produce beautiful wide wash fields.

Pixel-Mapped Wash and Aura Backlight Control

The MAC Aura PXL is also the first wash light in the market to feature individual pixel control for both the main beam pixels and the Aura backlight, giving lighting designers the ability to build pixel effects, chases, and video-like looks without switching fixture types. Control is available via DMX as well as over network protocols including Art-Net and sACN, plus Martin’s P3 video protocol for creative, media-driven workflows.

Color, Output, and Camera-Ready Performance

RGBW solid-state color mixing provides instant, no-moving-parts color changes with very bright, vibrant saturated colors, plus smooth pastels and strong white tones. With 10.5 klm light output and calibrated colors, the fixture is designed for consistent looks across rigs. Variable color temperature correction (CTB/CTO) helps match other fixtures and camera environments, and flicker-free operation (LED driver frequency suitable for camera applications) supports broadcast and high-speed video use.

Optics, Dimming, and Quiet Operation

The optical system delivers a beautiful wash field with only minor color temperature shift from center to edge. A precise 1:8 zoom is designed to be silent yet fast, useful when moving between tight beams and wide coverage. Fully electronic dimmer and shutter control includes multiple dimming curves and a tungsten dimming (red-shift) emulation option for smoother fades on stage. A low-noise cooling system, fast and silent pan/tilt, and user-selectable output versus sound level control make it well-suited to studios, theaters, corporate events, and high-end nightclub environments.

Touring-Friendly Networking and Build

Built for rental and touring workflows, the MAC Aura PXL includes Ethercon in/out for P3, Art-Net, and sACN, plus a built-in Ethernet switch with fail-safe bypass to help keep data moving even if a fixture drops from the line. Compact size and low weight support efficient rigging and transport, while trusted Martin build quality helps it hold up in demanding production schedules.
