The Martin MAC Aura PXL adds to the industry standard line of Martin wash lights with multi-lens and Aura backlight technology. Bigger and brighter than the MAC Aura, the PXL features significantly higher intensity and a tighter beam as well as a smaller face and less busy lens look compared to the MAC Quantum Wash. The MAC Aura PXLs bigger “bubbles” provide a more appealing look and beautiful wide wash fields.

Pixel-Controlled Wash and Aura Backlight

Designed for concert/touring, TV, corporate production, and high-end nightclub rigs, the MAC Aura PXL combines a punchy wash with the signature Aura glow for looks that read clearly on stage and on camera. It is also the first wash light in the market to feature individual pixel control for main beam pixels and Aura backlight with full control via DMX, Art-Net and sACN, as well as with Martin´s very own creative P3 video protocol.

Color, Output, and Camera-Ready Performance

RGBW solid state color mixing delivers fast, consistent color changes with no moving parts, plus calibrated colors for repeatable matching across fixtures. With 10.5 klm light output, you get vibrant saturated looks, usable pastels, and refined white tones, supported by variable color temperature correction (CTB/CTO). Flicker-Free operation, with an LED driver frequency suitable for camera applications, makes it a strong choice for broadcast, IMAG, and recorded content.

Optics, Zoom, and Smooth Dimming

The fixture’s 1:8 zoom is precise, silent, and fast, helping you move from tighter beams to broader coverage without changing fixtures. The wash field is described as beautiful, with minor color temperature shift from center to edge. Fully electronic dimmer and shutter control includes multiple dimming curves and a tungsten dimming (red-shift) emulation option for more natural-looking fades on stage.

Control and Touring-Friendly Setup

For pixel effects and mapped looks, the MAC Aura PXL provides a pixelated beam/field (19 pixels) and pixelated Aura backlight (141 pixels). Ethercon in/out supports P3, Art-Net, and sACN, and the built-in Ethernet switch with fail-safe bypass helps keep data flowing in daisy-chained networks. A low-noise cooling system, fast and silent pan/tilt and effects operation, and user-selectable output vs. sound level control make it adaptable for quiet studios as well as louder live environments.
