The feature-packed Martin MAC Encore Wash WRM soft edge moving head offers unparalleled 3000 K warm tungsten emulation. It truly challenges the output quality of a real incandescent light source, and doubles as a modern replacement for generic fixtures like tungsten based Fresnel fixtures, with the additional benefit of color mixing and movement.

Tungsten-True Output for Stage and Camera

Built around a pure white LED engine with a 3000 K CCT, the MAC Encore Wash WRM is designed for consistent looks on stage and on set. Color temperature remains stable during zoom and dimming, and flicker-free operation (with an LED driver frequency suitable for camera applications) helps avoid artifacts when filming. For quiet environments, whisper-silent cooling combines convection and forced air with user-selectable control over output versus sound level.

Color Mixing, CCT Control, and Beam Shaping

For creative flexibility, vibrant CMY color mixing delivers everything from saturated primaries to smooth pastel shades. Variable CTB lets you move from tungsten to daylight CCT while expanding the CMY palette in a way that stays true to the black body curve. A color wheel adds 6 interchangeable dichroic filters plus open.

Beam control is equally production-friendly. A Fresnel lens provides a 1:4 zoom that is precise, silent, and fast. An internal barndoor system includes two shutter blades and an iris, the blades can overlap for full blackout, the entire system rotates +/- 100 degrees, and it repeats cues with great precision. The iris is precise and tight, with adjustable dynamic effects, and the Animotion FX System adds internal dimming effect macros for 3D mid-air and projection effects.

Precise Movement and Practical Physical Specs

Super precise, silent pan and tilt movement is enabled by 3-phase stepper motor technology with absolute position monitoring, supporting accurate positioning and repeatable cues. The fixture remains compact at 452 x 480 x 745 mm (17.8 x 18.9 x 29.3 in.) and weighs 28.5 kg (62.9 lbs), a practical choice for touring rigs, theaters, studios, and installs where performance and manageable handling both matter.
