The Martin MAC Encore Wash WRM soft edge moving head offers unparalleled 3000 K warm tungsten emulation for stages, studios, and broadcast environments that want the look of incandescent without giving up modern control. It truly challenges the output quality of a real incandescent light source, and doubles as a modern replacement for generic fixtures like tungsten based Fresnel fixtures, with the additional benefit of color mixing and movement. 

Warm tungsten look, consistent on camera

Designed around a pure white LED engine, the MAC Encore Wash WRM maintains a consistent color temperature through zoom and dimming, helping cues match from tight beams to wide washes. Flicker-free operation (with an LED driver frequency suitable for all camera applications) makes it a solid choice for film and broadcast work where flicker and color shift can be problematic.

Color control and shaping for real-world rigs

Beyond tungsten emulation, vibrant CMY color mixing provides anything from saturated primaries to smooth pastels, supported by variable CTB control for tuning from tungsten to daylight CCT while staying aligned to the black body curve. A color wheel adds 6 interchangeable dichroic filters plus open for fast, repeatable looks.

For beam and edge control, the Fresnel lens delivers a 1:4 zoom that is precise, silent, and fast. An internal barndoor system with two shutter blades and iris enables practical shaping for key light, specials, and scenic work. The shutters can overlap for full blackout, and the entire system rotates +/- 100 degrees for flexible framing. The iris is tight and precise, with adjustable dynamic effects.

Quiet operation and precise movement

Whisper-silent cooling combines convection and forced air with user-selectable output versus sound level control, useful for theaters, studios, and any space where fan noise matters. Fully electronic dimmer/shutter control includes multiple dimming curves and tungsten red-shift emulation for smoother fades.

For motion cues, super precise and silent pan/tilt movement and positioning is driven by 3-phase stepper motor technology with absolute position monitoring, helping the fixture repeat cues accurately over time. The Animotion FX System adds internal dimming effect macros for mid-air and projection effects without external media.
