Designed for high-impact beams, sharp aerial effects, and flexible spot looks, the Karif-LT is an ultra-compact 300 W beam-spot LED moving-head luminaire built around a 168 mm frontal lens and a high-resolution optical system. With an astronomical zoom ratio of 17:1 and a zoom range of 2.8 ° to 47 °, it can shift from a tight, intense beam for long throws to a much wider angle for coverage and texture, making it a practical choice for touring, event production, and installed venues that need one fixture to cover multiple looks.
To achieve an ultra-intense beam with an LED source, Ayrton uses an entirely new miniaturised high-efficiency low-etendue compact LED module. Calibrated at 8000 K, it can generate powerful metallic white light and deep, vivid colours suitable for this type of application. Karif provides overall output of 14,000 lumens at a colour temperature of 7000 K.
Optics and Light Output
The Karif-LT uses tempered anti-reflective coated lenses and a 13-element 17:1 zoom high-resolution optic system to maintain clarity and punch across the zoom range. The white-light engine is rated at 20,000 lumens (8000 K), with total luminaire output up to 14,000 lumens and CRI greater than 70.
Motion, Effects, and Control
For precise focus and repeatable programming, the moving head supports 8- or 16-bit resolution with high-resolution stepper motors driven via microprocessors for smooth movement and highly accurate positioning. Pan and tilt include automatic repositioning, with infinite rotation (pan) and 263 ° tilt. In this first hybrid LED luminaire, Ayrton has added continuous rotation to its panoramic movement to expand the possibilities for creating complex special effects.
Broadcast-Friendly Performance and Reliability
Flicker-free source management makes the Karif-LT suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events, and the rated source life is up to 40,000 hours to support long-term production use.
