The Panasonic PT-RZ21K Series is the world’s first 3-Chip DLP laser projector to eliminate need for a consumable air filter, enabling maintenance-free operational life of 20,000 hours 3 for the whole projector. This is achieved with a hermetically sealed optical engine and heat-sink-based internal cooling system with a one-way airflow. Built for large-venue projection and demanding live-event workflows, the PT-RZ21K is designed for long continuous operation with fewer routine service interruptions, which can help reduce downtime and simplify show-day logistics. With no filter, light-source lifespan of 20,000 hours, and controlled, linear picture degradation, the PT-RZ21K Series leads the field for low TCO.

High-Brightness Large-Venue Performance

With 20,000 lumens (21,000 lumens center), this projector is suited for bright environments such as concert touring, corporate general sessions, rental and staging, projection mapping, and large houses of worship. The WUXGA (1920x1200) native resolution in a 16:10 aspect ratio supports detailed content like presentations, IMAG, and wide-format media, while maintaining compatibility with common HD sources.

Color and Contrast for Show Content

The 3-chip DLP imaging system (1.00" DLP x 3) delivers stable color and uniformity for critical viewing. A rated 20,000:1 full on/off contrast helps preserve separation in darker scenes, and the projector supports Full HD 3D for compatible content and playback systems.

Flexible Installation and Rigging

Integrated lens shift (H +/-20%, V +/-55%) and horizontal/vertical digital keystone help dial in alignment when the projector cannot be perfectly centered, which is common in truss, stacked, or constrained-throw installations. The unit’s high-power design draws up to 1,500 W and supports 100V to 240V operation for deployment across typical venue power standards.

Connectivity for Production Environments

Inputs and control options are tailored for professional AV integration, including HDMI, DVI, HD-SDI (BNC x 2), HDBaseT (RJ-45), RGB in (BNC), VGA (Dsub-15), and RS-232 (DB-9). Supported video modes include 720p, 1080i, and multiple 1080p frame rates, and data mode support reaches up to 1920x1200 for computer-based sources.

Audible noise is rated at 46 dB. The projector does not include internal speakers. Physical size is 10.60" x 23.50" x 28.50" (H x W x D) and weight is 108.0 lbs, which is typical for this brightness class and should be planned for in transport and rigging.
