Martin MAC III Profile (Pkg of 4)

The Martin MAC III Profile (Pkg of 4) is a high-output, 1500 W moving head profile fixture package built for professional stage, touring, and event lighting where you need strong beam presence, precise framing, and reliable color and gobo control across multiple fixtures. With a high-efficiency optical system, wide zoom range, and comprehensive effects suite, it is well suited for key light, texture, aerial looks, and long-throw positions in larger venues.

Package of (4) MAC III Profiles. 1 unit has a loud pan/tilt, louder than the other units, but is functioning. Rotating Gobo #3 on wheel 1 (Snow Storm) has been replaced with "To Boldly Go" on all 4 units.

Optics, Color, and Beam Control

The MAC III Profile uses a 1500 W short arc discharge lamp with a Lok-it! base and an electronic ballast for fast re-strike and flicker-free output. A 1:5 zoom with focus tracking helps maintain sharpness through the zoom range, while the CMY mixing system plus variable CTO makes it easy to match camera looks or blend with warmer tungsten sources. A 7-position color wheel (plus open) adds quick access to fixed colors alongside mixing.

Gobos and Effects for Texture and Motion

For projection and breakup, it includes two 5-position indexable rotating gobo wheels (plus open), plus a gobo animation wheel with full movement and direction control for dynamic texture. An interchangeable 4-facet rotating and indexable prism expands aerial effects, and the motorized iris provides fast beam size shaping for tighter shafts or punchier mid-air looks.

Dimming, Shutter, and Strobe

Completely uniform dimming is supported, and a mechanical shutter provides true blackout when you need clean cues. Mechanical and electronic strobe effects run 2 to 10 Hz, with pulse effects plus instant open and blackout for flexible timing and punch.

Movement, Noise, and Control Integration

Pan and tilt (540/267) with absolute positioning control supports repeatable focusing and consistent cueing. Patented very low-noise cooling is designed to reduce fixture noise in quieter environments. The fixture is RDM ready and Art-Net II prepared, and it includes service USB access plus a battery-powered TFT display with jog wheel navigation for setup and addressing without external power.

Serviceability and Physical Specifications

A modular design supports easier maintenance, servicing, and product conversion, including easy conversion between a profile and performance (no need to invest in two separate fixtures). Physical dimensions are: length (head) 712 mm, width 536 mm, height 936 mm. Weight is 53.5 kg.
