The NEW City Theatrical S4 Par/Parnel Barndoor (Pkg of 2) is a variable beam-shaping accessory designed for wash lights such as Source Four PAR fixtures, LED wash fixtures, and fresnels. These fixtures produce a soft beam with a wide spread and no hard edge, so light often spills onto scenery, backdrops, or off-stage areas. The large, adjustable leaves let you shutter and control that spill, helping keep focus where you want it without changing your wash fixture or lensing.

Beam Control for Soft-Edged Wash Fixtures

Barndoors are especially useful when a wash needs to stop short of masking, cyc edges, scenic pieces, or audience sightlines. City Theatrical’s round frame allows the doors to rotate to an optimum position, so you can align the leaves with stage architecture and trim the beam more precisely for each hang position.

Durable, Adjustable Hardware

City Theatrical’s barndoors have aluminum leaves for light weight and durability, and nylock nuts to enable the tension of the doors to be adjusted if wear occurs over time. For added practicality in a typical lighting workflow, the barndoor includes a built-in 2” (51mm) color extender to help manage accessories at the front of the fixture.

Fit and Design Details

Designed for use with Source Four PAR fixtures, this barndoor features extra large aluminum leaves for controlling light spill, a full 6 3/4” (171mm) center hole, and a round rear frame for easy rotation.
