The NEW AAdynTech Punch Variable Cinema is a high-output LED cinema light built for professional film and broadcast sets where fast setup, consistent color, and strong punch are required. It delivers 3,159 fc at 10 feet with an adjustable color temperature range of 3,000°K to 6,000°K, paired with high CRI (92+) performance for accurate skin tones and faithful color on camera.

High output, low draw, set-friendly operation

Like the Punch Variable, the Variable draws only 4.78 amps of power at full output, helping you get more usable output on standard circuits. It is self-contained with an auto-ranging universal power supply requiring no ballast, head cables, or lamps, and instant ON ensures no warm-up wait time on set. Like all AAdynTech fixtures, the Variable generates no heat or harmful UV or IR emissions, and operates cool to the touch.

Quick-change optics for controlled beams

When any of the lenses are used, optical efficiency provides a single light source, eliminating multiple shadows for cleaner, more natural-looking results. The Variable comes equipped with four quick change lenses to vary the beam angle for spot, medium, or flood while maintaining a flat, even field of light. Included lenses are 5 degree, 15 degree, 30 degree, and 55 degree, making it easy to switch from long-throw highlights to broader coverage without changing fixtures. A heavy-duty yoke is provided for secure mounting and positioning.

Control options for studio and location workflows

For precise output matching and repeatable setups, the Punch Variable Cinema provides precise brightness control with a variable dimming curve, a douse button (momentary off), and a built-in digital User Interface Module (UIM) control. It supports full DMX control with DMX loop-thru via 5-pin XLR DMX In/Out, plus wireless DMX/RDM control for cable-reduced rigs. Flicker-free performance up to 12,000 fps supports high-speed photography, and programmable lightning and strobe effects with multiple user memory storage enable fast recall of practical effects cues.

Reliability and compliance for professional use

The fixture is designed to operate from -20c to +50c, includes a recalibration countdown hour smart meter, and is certified UL, ETL, CSA, CE, and RoHS compliant. Auto range voltage support is 100/277 VAC, 50/60Hz. The manufacturer states up to 90% energy savings and performance brighter than a 2,500 watt HMI.
