The Pathport series of DMX/RDM Ethernet Gateways are the heart of DMX distribution, designed to bridge DMX512 and Ethernet so you can route lighting control data cleanly across a network.

Connect DMX512 control devices and send data over an Ethernet network to DMX512-capable end devices such as intelligent lighting fixtures, LEDs, dimmers, and more. With four DMX512 ports that are individually configurable, the gateway can be set up for DMX output, DMX input, or mixed-direction workflows to suit your rig.

Flexible Protocol Support and Patching

Advanced features include extensive protocol support, slot-by-slot patching using multiple sources, cross-fading on priority change, and signal loss behavior. Different Ethernet protocols may be merged together and prioritized, helping you integrate multiple consoles, controllers, or network sources without re-cabling.

Supported DMX-over-Ethernet sending and receiving protocols include Pathway ssACN (Secure sACN), E1.31 streaming ACN (sACN), Art-Net, Pathport Protocol, and ShowNet.

Front Panel Setup and At-a-Glance Status

Status LEDs for each port provide instant confirmation of DMX activity and direction. The LCD display and encoder knob allow for front panel configuration and reporting of the most commonly used features, such as IP address and subnet mask, port direction, and protocol selection, which is useful for quick adjustments at FOH or in the rack.

RDM and Network-Ready Hardware

The unit acts as an E1.20 RDM controller when used with free Pathscape configuration software or ANSI E1.33 RDMnet compliant controllers, supporting remote device discovery and configuration workflows where applicable.

Hardware highlights include a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet network port, silent fan-less operation, rack-mount ears included, and PoE Class 2 capability with a 24 to 48 VDC auxiliary power input (8W maximum power consumption). The enclosure measures 8.6 in W x 1.7 in H x 7.0 in D (218 mm W x 43 mm H x 178 mm D) and weighs 2.3 lbs (1 kg) for the base device without rack mounting hardware. Previous Part Number: 6326.
