The NEW City Theatrical Beam Bender 6.25" lets you redirect an ellipsoidal fixture’s light output at a right angle to the fixture, so a unit can point horizontally and shoot its light straight down, or point straight down and output its light horizontally. This flexibility is especially helpful when you need precise beam placement but cannot aim the fixture normally due to trim height, sightlines, or physical obstructions.

Practical Uses in Theatrical and Dance Lighting

Designers have many uses for the Beam Bender, including shooting around obstructions, working with low grids in which a fixture pointing straight down would be an obstruction, and on dance sidelight booms to light the maximum of dancers’ legs without lighting the floor.

Compatibility and Control

The Beam Bender attaches easily to any Source Four™, SL, Shakespeare, or Selecon Pacific ellipsoidal, making it a straightforward option for re-aiming light when fixture placement is locked in but the beam direction is not. An adjustable mirror helps you fine-tune both the angle and the spread of the beam, which is useful for dialing in clean coverage where spill or floor light is unwanted.
