The Pathway DMX Repeater series of opto-splitters are an essential component of DMX distribution systems, permitting star-wiring configurations while isolating and protecting equipment from electrical faults. Designed for permanent installs and touring racks alike, the NEW Pathway PWREP Rack-Mount 8-Port DMX Repeater provides a clean, centralized way to split a single DMX512 line to multiple isolated runs, helping keep control data stable while reducing the risk that a fault on one line impacts the rest of the system.

DMX Distribution for Star Wiring

This rack-mount DMX opto splitter features 8 DMX512 outputs fed by 1 DMX512 input, plus a passive DMX512 thru for looping signal onward to additional devices. With rear-panel 5-pin XLR female connectors, it supports tidy rack wiring and easier cable management in control rooms, dimmer rooms, and road cases.

Isolation and Protection Built for Real-World Rigs

To help protect consoles, nodes, fixtures, and downstream cabling, the PWREP uses opto-isolated distribution and includes self-resetting port protection (no fuses). If a voltage fault occurs on an output, protection is designed to recover automatically. Gold-plated XLR contacts support reliable connectivity in high-cycle environments, and the silent, fan-less design makes it a practical choice for noise-sensitive venues.
