Designed for the studio and film industry, the ETC fos/4 7" Fresnel Lustr X8 pairs the familiar beam quality and control of a true Fresnel with ETC LED color-mixing, smooth fades, and an advanced eight-color array for camera-ready results.

True Fresnel performance with LED flexibility

fos/4 takes the most desired features of a standard incandescent Fresnel and adds in the nuanced color mixing, smooth fades, and LED technology of ETC’s other professional grade fixtures. With a wide 13 to 55° zoom range, it can shift from a tighter, more directional beam to a broader wash for key, fill, or backlight setups, while maintaining the characteristic Fresnel look.

Lustr X8 color mixing for accurate rendering on set

The Lustr X8 array uses Deep Red, Red, Amber, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Indigo to expand color rendering options and fine-tune tones for skin, fabrics, and scenic elements. With the addition of Deep Red LEDs, the Lustr X8 array pushes the boundaries of color rendering possibilities. A 1900 to 10450 K color temperature range supports warm tungsten looks through cool daylight matching, and the calibrated array helps maintain consistency between fixtures. Selectable red shift is available when you want to preserve the familiar behavior of tungsten sources as they dim.

Output, LED engine, and practical build details

Built around a Lumileds LUXEON C LED engine, the fixture delivers up to 7,714 lumens (37.6 lumens per watt) and is rated for > 54,000 hours to L70 (70% output). The housing measures 18.9 x 12.4 x 14.0 in (479 x 313 x 356 mm) and weighs 7.8 kg (17.2 lb), balancing solid output with a manageable footprint for studio grids and location rigs.
