Color Kinetics ColorBurst 4 is a Chromacore-powered product in the Color Series designed for lighting designers and integrators who need a compact fixture for spotlighting and wall washing. It projects a soft-edge beam for smooth coverage and supports rich, saturated color-changing effects in architectural, entertainment, and exterior lighting applications.

Performance and Light Output

ColorBurst 4 delivers a broad color palette with 16.7 million (24-bit) additive RGB colors and continuously variable intensity for fades, scenes, and dynamic effects. It uses high-brightness colored LEDs and a 33° beam angle suited for accent lighting and short-to-medium throw wall wash installations.

Rugged Housing for Indoor/Outdoor Use

The fully enclosed, sealed design is built into a stylish, rugged die-cast aluminum housing with a black powder coat finish to match its environment and help prevent oxidation. ColorBurst 4 meets or exceeds specifications for use in wet locations and is C-UL US listed and CE certified, supporting dependable deployment in commercial and outdoor installations.

Mounting and Accessories

Enclosed wiring helps keep installations neat and allows for clean positioning. The housing includes a three-screw accessory ring for spread lenses, louvers, and other attachments. A 350° locking base swivel, with 350° locking fixture rotation, provides a versatile range of light positioning.

Control and System Compatibility

ColorBurst 4 uses the Color Kinetics data interface system and can be controlled by a Color Kinetics controller or a third-party controller. It is DMX512 (RS485) compatible when using a Color Kinetics power/data supply. Each fixture comes pre-addressed to light number one, enabling simple effects such as fixed color and color wash without additional addressing. Multi-light effects, including Chasing Rainbow or Color Sweep, require further addressing using Serialized Addressing Software (SAS) or Zapi.

Power Requirements

The fixture requires 24VDC and consumes up to 10W max. at full intensity (full RGB). ColorBurst 4 has three 18AWG wire leads and attaches to a standard junction box or to an optional mounting base, which has a 60-foot (18.3 m) three conductor cable.
