Built for scalable live sound reinforcement, the FBT HORIZON VHA 406ND is a compact, self-powered line array element designed to be deployed in vertical arrays (and configured for horizontal arrays using dedicated hardware). With a purpose-built waveguide and integrated rigging mechanics, it is well suited for venues and production workflows that need predictable coverage, fast setup, and networked control.

Acoustic Design and Coverage

The VHA 406ND pairs 4 x 6.5 inch woofers with a 1.4 inch neodymium compression driver (2.5 inch voice coil) for a stated frequency response of 65Hz to 20kHz. The large-format FBT waveguide (optimized with BEM) delivers 90° horizontal and 20° vertical dispersion to help maintain consistent coverage when combining multiple elements in an array.

Power and DSP Control

Each element is bi-amplified with Class-D amplification rated at 800W RMS (LF) and 400W RMS (HF), powered by a switch mode power supply. Onboard settings are accessible via an OLED display and encoder with push control for quick parameter changes at the cabinet.

Network Audio and System Management

For integrated system workflows, the amplification module includes a TCP/IP network interface (AES70 compatible) and supports remote control via the INFINITO System Management Suite. It also receives 24-bit digital audio streaming at 48 to 96kHz from devices compatible with the DANTE standard. Ethercon RJ45 input and output connections allow daisy-chaining for streamlined network runs.

Cabinet, Rigging, and Deployment

The cabinet is constructed from 0.47 inch birch plywood with two integrated handles, and the module is housed in an aluminium chassis with intelligent forced ventilation. Integrated mechanics allow you to join elements and set splay angles from 5° to 20° in 5° steps. Quick-release anchor points support the creation of horizontal and vertical arrays using the dedicated flybar, and the front is protected by a powder-coated perforated steel grille. A high-brightness blue front LED allows remote identification of the device, even in daylight.
