The Chauvet Professional Maverick MK2 Spot is a powerful 440W LED moving spot fixture built for professional touring, theatre productions, and large-scale event applications that need bright output and detailed beam control. It delivers a comprehensive feature set including CMY and CTO color mixing, dual rotating gobo wheels, a separate color wheel, variable frost, a 3-facet prism, and a versatile zoom range for everything from tight aerial looks to broader textured projections.

Bright LED Output with Flexible Zoom

At the core is a 440 W cool white LED engine rated up to 28,000 source lumens (18,506 output lumens), with a 50,000-hour life expectancy. The motorized zoom covers a 12° to 35.6° beam angle (14.7° to 40.5° field angle), making it easy to shift between punchy beams and wider coverage without changing fixtures. Motorized focus helps keep gobos crisp across the zoom range.

Color, Texture, and Beam Shaping Tools

For color, the Maverick MK2 Spot combines CMY flags and a CTO flag with a 7-position color wheel (plus white) that supports split colors and continuous scroll at variable speeds. Two 6-position rotating and interchangeable gobo wheels (each 6 + open) expand projection options with indexing and continuous scroll, and the slot-n-lock system supports fast swaps in the field. A motorized iris refines beam size, variable motorized frost softens edges for smoother washes, and the motorized rotating 3-facet prism adds movement and coverage for air effects.

Precise Dimming and Fast, Quiet Effects

Smooth 16-bit dimming with four selectable dim curves supports clean fades for theatre and broadcast-friendly transitions, while electronic shutter/strobe provides 0 to 20 Hz effects. Move-in-black capability helps conceal repositioning for cleaner cues. Pan and tilt deliver 540°/270° movement with multiple selectable ranges (including 540°, 360°, 180° pan and 270°, 180°, 90° tilt) to suit different rigging and programming needs.

Control and Integration

The fixture supports DMX as well as networked control via Art-Net and sACN, plus integrated W-DMX for cable-free setups where appropriate. Two personalities (24 or 32 channels) let you choose a streamlined patch or deeper parameter access depending on the show and console workflow.
