The ETC ION 1000 Package is a compact, portable lighting control solution for programming and playback of LEDs, conventional fixtures, and moving lights. This package supports up to four control devices, each with its own workspace, making it well suited for theatres, houses of worship, touring rigs, and multi-operator programming environments.

Control Surface and Playback Flexibility

ION 1000 provides 1,024 outputs, a dedicated master playback fader pair, plus a dedicated grand master and blackout switch for hands-on control. With Universal Fader Wings, multiple cue lists and up to 240 submasters are available, helping you build flexible playback layouts for shows that need quick access to cues, submasters, and busking-style control.

Programming Tools for Moving Lights and LEDs

Designed for modern rigs, the console includes 4 x 1000 palettes (Intensity, Focus, Color, Beam), along with 1000 presets, effects, and macros. User-configurable channel summary or table views (in Live/Blind), Blind spreadsheet views, and 4 pageable encoders support efficient fixture management and fast, repeatable programming.

Networking, Outputs, and Connectivity

ION 1000 is built for system integration with 2 x DMX512 outputs (RDM ready), ETCNet2 and Net3 native networking, and optional Artnet and Avab UDP. Client/server networking with synchronized backup helps support multi-station workflows and redundancy. Connectivity includes MIDI In/Out, contact closure triggers, five multipurpose USB ports (for pointing devices, printer, mouse, keyboard, touchscreens, flash drives), audio In/Out, and phone remote control.

Displays and Show File Compatibility

The console supports up to two high-resolution DVI monitors and includes an integral LCD for softkeys and non-intensity parameter control. Offline programming is supported on PC (Windows 7 or XP) and natively on Macintosh (Intel). Show file workflows are supported with data import from ETC Obsession, Express/ion, Emphasis, Congo, and Strand show files via ASCII, plus show file compatibility with Eos and Element.
