The Platinum Beam 5R Extreme is the next evolution in extreme ACL / Beam moving heads. With improve optics, remote focus and faster movements speeds, this unit is the next evolution from the Platinum Beam 5R. Fast 3 phase motors for all effects give it its new extreme speed effect and the advance optical design and remote focus allow for razor sharp extreme ACL projections.

Built for Tight, High-Impact Beam Looks

Designed around a 3° sharp pin spot beam and a 189W Platinum 5R lamp (2,000 hour average life), this fixture is purpose-built for aerial beam effects that read clearly through haze on stage, in clubs, and in touring rigs. Output is rated at 100,100 LUX (9,299 FC) at 49.2 ft (15 m), giving you the punch needed for long throws and defined mid-air looks.

Fast Movement and Precise Control

For cue-heavy shows and rapid beam sweeps, the Platinum Beam 5R Extreme uses super fast 16-bit 3-phase pan/tilt motors with pan movement of 540°/630° and 270° tilt. The motorized focus supports quick refinement from the console, so you can keep beams crisp without climbing the truss.

Color, Gobo, and Beam Effects

Shape and texture are handled with (12) colors including UV plus CTO and CTB color correction, along with white for clean beam looks and balancing to camera or mixed lighting. An 8-facet rotating prism and frost effects add width and multiplication options for bigger looks, while (8) metal rotating, indexing, interchangeable gobos provide fast pattern changes for dynamic cueing.

Show-Ready Dimming, Strobe, and Camera-Friendly Operation

Electronic dimming runs from 0% to 100%, with strobe from 1 to 18 fps and focus flicker-free operation for TV and FILM. This makes it suitable for broadcast, corporate video capture, and any environment where flicker can be a concern.

DMX, Wireless, and RDM Integration

Integration is straightforward with 3-pin and 5-pin DMX in/out and (3) DMX channel modes (12/14/18) to match your programming needs. The fixture includes an internal EWDMX wireless DMX receiver for cleaner rigging where cabling is limited, and Remote Device Management Protocol support for addressing and status monitoring on compatible systems.

Rigging and On-Fixture Navigation

Onboard setup uses a 6-button control panel with a full color 180° reversible LCD menu display for easier access whether the fixture is floor-mounted or flown. Power is via powerCON in.
