CRMX Nova FX RDM is a Flex unit that can be configured as either a transmitter or a receiver for professional wireless DMX512-A and RDM workflows. It supports one DMX/RDM universe (up to 512 channels) at maximum refresh rate, making it a practical choice for touring rigs, rental inventories, and permanent installs that need reliable DMX distribution with RDM feedback.

Flex Transmit and Receive, Wired and Wireless

In transmitter mode, all supported Ethernet protocols can be used in any direction as both input and output, allowing straightforward integration with Ethernet-based lighting networks. In receiver mode, the unit can output any supported Ethernet protocol alongside standard DMX and RDM, useful when you need to bridge between networked control and fixtures that still require hardline DMX while retaining RDM device management.

CRMX Performance for Demanding RF Environments

Based on LumenRadio CRMX technology, the CRMX Nova FX RDM includes Automated Cognitive Coexistence to help maintain stable links in crowded 2.4 GHz environments, plus Forward Error Correction for added robustness. It delivers industry-low latency at 5 ms, a specified link range of up to 1000 meters, and 128 bit encryption for secure control signals.

System Compatibility and Expansion

With support for CRMX Unity, the CRMX Nova FX RDM offers flexible options for combining wireless and wired DMX and RDM within the same system. Multiple CRMX Nova FX RDM units in transmitter mode can be combined to transmit several DMX/RDM universes for easy expansion as your show or venue grows. It is compatible with all other CRMX products, both indoor and outdoor, DMX and RDM. Use it together with the CRMX SuperNova RDM controller and management software, or as an RDM proxy with any other RDM compliant controller on the market.
