The Martin VDO Atomic Dot CLD hybrid lighting and video fixture, also available in a WRM color temperature variant, combines a compact strobe, small blinder, video-pixel and small spotlight. With its cold white 5700K output and pixel-controllable RGB Aura backlight, it is designed for punchy accents, audience looks, and pixel-mapped effects in touring, TV, and installed entertainment rigs.

Hybrid Output for Strobe, Blinder, and Pixel Effects

By combining a video-controlled Aura backlight and a bright strobe/blinder dot in one fixture, lighting designers are empowered with greater creative potential to make a bigger impact with audiences than ever before. The fixtures’ compact design also gives designers the ability to place VDO Atomic Dots just about anywhere and deploy them in larger quantities. In practice, the tight 11° beam (22° field) helps create focused, high-impact hits, while the RGB Aura layer adds depth and motion for camera-friendly looks and scenic glow.

For different programming styles, the Dot delivers up to 3350 lumens in boost/strobe mode and 1600 lumens continuous output, plus built-in pixel-FX on both the backlight and beam for fast, repeatable looks without external media servers.

Control and Networking Integration

Integrated support for P3, DMX, Art-Net and sACN eliminates the need for additional interface boxes and onboard P3 eases pixel mapping and using the product as a video controlled strobe or blinder. Power and Data IN & THRU via the hybrid cable (PDE System) helps streamline cabling for multi-unit builds.

Rigging, Arrays, and Mixed Fixtures

The integrated VDO Grid Mount System allows multiple VDO Atomic Dots to be combined in battens, arrays or creative shapes. While the PDE cable carrying DMX, Art-Net, sACN and P3 makes connections easy and fast. The fixture also supports mixed arrays through compatibility with Martin VDO Atomic Bold and MAC One interlocking mechanics.

Built for Production Environments

Designed for rental inventories and demanding show environments, the VDO Atomic Dot CLD features a compact form-factor with detachable yoke-assembly, passive cooling, and an IP65 rating for added protection in challenging conditions. It includes a front-accessory holder for barndoors and/or diffuser/lens, giving you additional beam control options when needed.
