The Robert Juliat Super Korrigan 1149C is a professional followspot designed for theatres, houses of worship, touring productions, and event venues that need controlled, consistent front light on performers. The 1200 W HMI source is paired with a magnetic, hot-restrike PSU for reliable operation in show environments.

Optics, Beam Control, and Gobo Projection

A variable 7° to 14.5° zoom supports both tighter throws and wider coverage, with sharp focus maintained throughout the range. For precise shaping, the unit features a fully closing iris cassette that is removable for fast replacement, plus a smooth dimmer shutter designed to retain a flat beam and consistent color temperature while dimming. A flip-lever frost filter provides quick soft-edge beam control when you want a less defined edge.

For texture and image work, the universal adjustable gobo holder accepts “A” size glass and metal gobos, and the SX optical system with double condenser optics is designed for excellent gobo projection and high optical clarity. An internal glass filter holder supports durable colored, dichroic, or textured glass for long-term use.

Color Handling and Operator-Friendly Ergonomics

Color changes are handled with a 6-way, self-cancelling boomerang color changer, and the individually removable color frame makes gel swaps easier while the color cassette stays in place. Operator control is streamlined with an ergonomic dimmer control intended for one-handed dim, pan, and tilt, and it can be adjusted to the operator’s preference. For repeatability during focus calls, the easy focus reference uses a graduated scale on the side of the unit for faster refocusing.

Stability, Transport, and Consistent Alignment

The included stand is described as perfectly weighted for maximum stability with smooth rotation, easy setup, and a triple safety system for extra security. The factory set optical train is designed to travel safely within the followspot and helps avoid time-consuming realignment on arrival, supporting uniform beam performance across matching units.
