The Meyer 650-P Subwoofer is a self-powered, tuned, bass-reflex subwoofer that uses two 18" drivers, capable of long excursion with minimal distortion. Designed to extend the low-frequency range of Meyer Sound reinforcement systems, it delivers solid, high-impact bass for live sound, installed venues, and touring rigs with a stated frequency response of 28 to 120 Hz.

Self-Powered Design for Faster, Cleaner System Integration

Because the amplifiers and control electronics are fully contained within the speaker enclosure, setup is straightforward. All that is required to install the unit is an audio input signal and an AC power connection. The 650-P also incorporates the Intelligent AC system, which performs automatic voltage selection, EMI filtering, soft current turn-on, and surge suppression to help manage real-world power conditions and simplify deployment.

High Output, Controlled Low End

Built around dual MS-18 cone transducers, the 650-P is capable of high output, rated at 136 dB SPL at 1 meter, with a dynamic range of >110 dB. Its bass-reflex tuning and wide coverage (360 degrees H; 180 degrees V at -6 dB points) support consistent low-frequency reinforcement across a room, whether used as a single sub or as part of a larger array in a Meyer Sound system.

Protection and Reliability Under Demanding Use

The unit uses Tru Power Limiting (TPL) to provide driver protection under extreme operating conditions. This prevents overheating, and ensures graceful handling of high power applications. The amplifier is designed to give reliable, consistent, and outstanding performance.
