The Martin MAC Viper Profile is a high-output profile moving head luminaire designed for concert touring, houses of worship, theaters, and broadcast style rigs where punch, precision, and repeatable looks matter. With a 1000-watt HID source delivering 26,000 lumens at 6000K, it provides a flat, uniform field that reads cleanly through gobos and color, while using less power than many 1200-watt class fixtures.

Optics and beam control

A 1:5 zoom pairs fast zooming with auto-linked focus, so you can move from tight aerial looks to wider coverage quickly without constant refocusing. The 140 mm front lens helps produce a full, “fat beam” appearance that stays even across the field, useful for both texture projection and defined mid-air beams. For further shaping, the fixture includes a fast, tight iris with adjustable dynamic effects, plus soft frost for a smoother edge while keeping gobo artwork visible (with a linear focus blurring option).

Gobos and effects for texture and motion

Two 5-slot rotating gobo wheels (all-glass) with strong focal separation support clean morphing and layered looks. An FX wheel adds four fixed gobos and a 135° animation effect, making it easy to build moving textures on cyc, scenic elements, or stage floors. For beam multiplication and tiling effects, the 4-facet prism offers real separation with rotation and index control.

Color and intensity control

CMY color mixing provides vibrant, flexible palettes, complemented by an 8-slot color wheel with static colors and correction filters for quick bumps and matching. Linear CTO lets you roll from daylight to tungsten color temperatures and expand the usable CMY range. A combined dimmer/shutter system supports smooth fades, instant blackout/open, and a wide range of strobe effects using mechanical or electronic control (or both in combination).
