The Elation SMARTY MAX is a compact, lightweight hybrid moving head built for powerful beam, spot, and wash applications in concerts, touring rigs, venues, and event production. Rated at 480W with up to 4,000 hours smart lamp life, it delivers 21,000 lumens through a large 160mm front aperture for crisp beams, sharp gobo projection, and bright washes. It includes CMY color mixing and variable CTO for flexible color control, plus an Iris for dynamic beam shaping and a comprehensive effects package designed to cover a wide range of looks from one fixture.
Hybrid Output and Optics for Beam, Spot, and Wash
Designed to move quickly between looks, the SMARTY MAX supports beam, spot, and wash modes, with a motorized zoom and motorized focus plus an auto-focus feature. Dual frost filters let you shift from light diffusion to a full wash, making it easier to balance punchy aerial effects with softer coverage on stage or scenery.
Color and Effects Engine
For color, the fixture provides a full CMY color mixing system, variable CTO, and a 13-position color wheel. Effects include four prisms on dual planes, an Iris, high-speed shutter and strobe, and a dual track animation wheel for layered movement and texture. Two gobo wheels provide a mix of interchangeable rotating/indexing glass gobos (8) and static stamped metal gobos (14) for both sharp pattern projection and classic beam looks.
Control, Networking, and Rig Integration
The SMARTY MAX supports DMX and RDM, plus Art-Net and sACN for networked lighting control. Connectivity includes 5-pin DMX in/out and RJ45 Ethernet in/out, with a (6) button touch panel and a full color 180° reversible LCD menu display for setup and addressing. Two DMX channel modes (27 / 44 channels) allow faster programming for simpler rigs or expanded control when you need detailed parameter access.
