The Klark Teknik DN9848 4x8 Loudspeaker Processor is a highly configurable digital electronic cross-over and loudspeaker management system designed for setting up, tuning, and protecting multi-way PA and installed sound systems. It provides four balanced analogue input channels and eight balanced analogue output channels for flexible system routing, cross-over setup, EQ, dynamics, and time alignment.

Flexible 4x8 Routing for System Design

Its unrivalled routing flexibility enables each output to be sourced from a single input, a pair of inputs or all four inputs. This makes it well suited for stereo systems with multiple zones, mono-summed feeds, or complex processor layouts where you need to reconfigure outputs without changing hardware.

Input Processing for Room and System Tuning

Each input channel features 12 separately configurable, fully parametric equalisation stages that may be used for room equalization, plus gain control, full range compression, and a programmable delay of up to 1000ms for timing correction and system integration.

Output Processing for Crossover, Alignment, and Protection

Each output channel features configurable high and low-pass filters for setting the cross-over characteristics, six stages of fully parametric equalisation that may be used to compensate for system or enclosure characteristics, gain control and output muting, delay of up to 300ms on each output, mainly used for system time alignment, and full range compression and full range limiting for loudspeaker protection.

For phase optimization, the DN9848 also provides dual all-pass phase correction sections, the first of which can be any of the filter or parametric EQ stages and can be adjustable in 5 degree steps.
