The MA Lighting grandMA2 Full-Size (8GB) is a flagship lighting control console built for professional programming and playback of conventional fixtures, moving lights, LED systems, and media control from a single platform. It is designed for fast, hands-on operation in live events, touring, theaters, broadcast environments, and permanent installs where reliable, page-based playback and deep programming flexibility matter.

Programming and Playback Workflow

With a consistent grandMA2 key layout across the console family, show operators can move between grandMA2 systems with minimal re-learning. The multi-touch command screen and integrated keyboard drawer support efficient data entry and on-the-fly editing during rehearsals and show runs. Motorized executor faders and motorized A/B crossfaders help keep playback predictable when changing pages, taking over a rig, or updating looks quickly.

Control Capacity and System Expansion

The console provides real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session in connection with MA NPU (equivalent to 256 DMX universes), with 8,192 HTP/LTP parameters available for complex rigs and multi-attribute fixtures. For connectivity, it offers 6 DMX outputs plus network expansion via dual etherCON connectors, supporting scalable systems and distributed control workflows.

Display, I/O, and Physical Details

Onboard visualization and programming are supported by three internal TFT wide mode touchscreens (15.4" WXGA) and an internal multi-touch command screen (9" SVGA). For larger programming layouts, two external TFT screens can be connected (UXGA, touchscreens accepted). Additional connectivity includes 5 USB 2.0 ports, and the console features an integrated UPS to help protect against brief power interruptions.
