These Martin MAC Ultra Performance LED moving lights have heavy wear but are in good working condition. Designed for large-scale concert and touring rigs, this high-output moving head delivers extremely bright projection, precise control, and notably low noise for broadcast and theater environments.

The MAC Ultra Performance is built around a proprietary 1150 W LED light engine (84 x 20 W white LEDs) rated for > 50,000 hours, providing high-resolution dimming and strobing, plus Martin’s unique Animotion effect. In use, the fixture delivers up to 46,500 lumens in projection with peak intensity up to 3,000,000 cd, making it a strong choice for long throws, high ambient light stages, and punchy gobo looks.

Optics, Zoom, and Focus Control

A refined, high-definition optical system with a 160 mm front lens supports a wide 1:7 zoom range (8.0° to 54° field angle). Precision focus with auto tracking helps maintain image sharpness across zoom positions, which is especially useful when cues move quickly between narrow beam and wide coverage.

Color, Framing, and Beam-Shaping Tools

For color work, the fixture includes CMY color mixing, variable CTO (5800 K to 2850 K), and a color wheel with 6 interchangeable dichroic filters (including a Spectral Enhancement Filter). For beam shaping, Martin’s Extended Framing module provides individual blade control (+/- 30° across the entire beam) with +/- 83° rotation, enabling clean shutter cuts for stage, scenic, and architectural elements.

Gobos and Aerial Effects

Two layers of rotating gobos (each wheel includes 5 interchangeable gobos plus open) support texture and breakup looks, while the full-function animation wheel (indexing and continuous rotation with variable angle) adds motion for aerial and scenic effects. Additional tools include frost (fade in), a 4-facet prism, iris, and responsive pan and tilt (540° pan, 268° tilt) for accurate repositioning.

Control and Installation Notes

The MAC Ultra Performance supports P3 videomapping of fixture color and/or intensity (10 segments) and includes two ranges of pre-programmed FX for fast programming workflows. A low-noise cooling system with user-selectable output vs. sound level control helps balance maximum brightness with noise-sensitive applications. For side-by-side installs, plan for a minimum center-to-center distance of 830 mm (32.7 in.). The fixture weighs 44.0 kg (97.0 lbs.).
