A multiple CD recorder that combines a CD player and a CD recorder, ideal for dubbing CDs, creating custom compilation discs, or archiving analog sources to CD. It is equipped with one-touch recording and edit recording. You can record a whole disc by simply pressing the CDRec button, or you can program your favorite songs from the disc and record them. For faster turnaround, internal high-speed digital dubbing at 4x speed for CD-R (2x speed for CD-RW) is supported for these recording operations. Also, when recording to a CD-R, it can be played back without being finalized, so it is possible to copy while checking the recording condition.

Recording and Dubbing Capabilities

The XL-R2010 plays CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, and records to CD-R and CD-RW media. One-touch track synchro dubbing and automatic recording start/stop synchronization help simplify copying and capture, whether you are working from an internal disc or an external source. The Skip Track ID function can help you avoid recording unwanted tracks during dubbing.

Digital and Analog Connectivity

Equipped with optical and coaxial digital input/output, plus analog inputs and outputs, this recorder fits easily into home audio and A/V setups. With its digital input and built-in sample rate converter, digital sources such as satellite broadcasting and DVD can be taken in, automatically converted to CD sampling frequency, and recorded digitally. The digital REC volume makes it possible to adjust the volume of analog and digital signals with different sampling frequencies to the same level for recording.

Sound and Playback Control

For analog playback, the D/A converter uses a 24-bit PEM-DD converter and includes Victor's original K2 interface, which is described as addressing jitter (time difference distortion) and ripple (waveform distortion) added to digital signal. Playback includes pitch control of ±12%, useful for matching tempo when reviewing or practicing along with recordings.

Built for Accurate Recording

A brushless DD motor is used in the CD-R recorder section to improve recording accuracy by suppressing noise and vibration. The unit also supports Enhanced CompuLink and includes SCMS (Serial Copy Management System).
