The Clay Paky Sharpy is a 189W moving beam light designed for applications where a tight, high-intensity beam needs to stay crisp and visible through haze or fog. With a compact 16 kg form factor, it fits easily into truss rigs for live events, touring stages, showrooms, and conference production while keeping load-in and rigging practical.

Sharpy produces a perfectly parallel, laser-like beam with an output of 59,760 lx at 20m (5100 foot candles at 65 ft.). The adjustable beam angle from 0 to 3.8 degrees lets you go from a narrow, punchy aerial beam to a slightly wider look for broader coverage, without changing fixtures.

Beam, Color, and Aerial Effects

For fast, recognizable looks, the Sharpy includes an interchangeable color wheel with 14 fixed colors and an interchangeable gobo wheel with 17 fixed gobos. An 8-facet rotating prism multiplies the beam for classic aerial effects, while the frost filter softens the output when you want a less defined edge.

Control and Performance

Rapid and extensive pan and tilt movements support quick cueing and dynamic sweeps. A mechanical dimmer provides reliable intensity control, and the high-performance electronics with an electronic ballast fitted as standard help keep operation stable in professional show environments. Art-Net / RDM support makes it straightforward to integrate into modern DMX networking workflows and enable remote fixture management.

Lamp and Form Factor

The 189W discharge lamp (Platinum 5R o Osram Sirius 190 Plus) delivers the signature Sharpy punch in a small footprint (only 48 cm x 19 Kg). Its lightweight design also makes it easier to transport and position where larger spotlights may not be practical.
