Description
The ETC Source Four LED Series 2 Daylight HD, Body Only is a variable-white LED ellipsoidal fixture designed for studio work and other camera-critical applications where high-definition, flicker-free lighting matters. It delivers a daylight range of 4000 to 6500K that’s built to mimic natural sunlight, with adjustable temperature and tint to help dial in flattering skin tones for both live viewing and on-screen capture.
Please note that a lens tube is NOT included.
On-Camera Daylight Performance
With flicker-free operation, even at high speeds, the Daylight HD array maintains a clean look on camera and supports professional broadcast, film, and streaming workflows. The fixture uses 60 Luxeon Rebel LED emitters and is rated for a 20,000-hour L70 lifetime, supporting long-term installation and rental use where output consistency and service intervals matter.
Optics, Pattern, and Beam-Shaping Options
The fixture includes slots for glass or stainless steel patterns and a soft focus diffuser, giving you practical tools for shaping and refining a beam in studio grids, theatres, and corporate environments. An accessory slot supports motorized pattern devices or an optional iris, making it easier to tailor edge quality and beam size for precise key, fill, or background texture applications.
Power, DMX, and Control Flexibility
Setup is streamlined with power and DMX in/thru connections for clean daisy-chaining and efficient rigging. DMX512 in/thru is provided via five-pin XLR connectors, and multiple control options are supported, including RGB, strobe, and console-free Master/Slave mode. A 15-bit virtual dimming engine delivers smooth fades with minimal color shift during dimming, which is especially useful for tight cueing and consistent camera exposure.
Linking and Compliance
Up to nine fixtures (15A max) may be linked via the power thru connector (10 fixtures total per circuit) when used with an R20 Relay Module or Unison Echo Relay Panel. The fixture is ETL Listed to UL1573 and IP20 rated for indoor use.
