Built for outdoor stages, touring, and permanent installs, this IP65-rated linear bar brings the same DMX map, features, and performance as the indoor TETRA2, so you can deploy it in weather, dust, humidity, smoke, or haze without having to learn a new fixture.

Outdoor-Ready Ingress Protection and Self-Managing Reliability

The spectacular iTETRA2 linear bar has joined the Robe iSERIES, adding Robe’s self-managing, low-maintenance ingress protection technology for harsh environments. The ingenious ingress protection system is specifically designed to allow standard maintenance and preparation procedures without any additional tools, so maintenance work can be conducted on-site.

The onboard patented RAINS (Robe Automatic Ingress Neutralization System) manages humidity, temperature, and pressure control. The active monitoring system automatically removes any moisture detected within the fixture, providing constant monitoring to help ensure peak performance.

iTETRA runs an ingenious Self Pressure Test to check internal pressure. This self-test, taking less than 3 minutes, provides an error message if gaskets or covers were not replaced correctly or locking screws tightened, ensuring maximum protection. Their lightweight aluminium alloy structure provides a dust-free environment for the optics, reducing the need for frequent cleaning, routine maintenance, and UV damage to plastic parts.

Cold-Weather Operation with POLAR+

Outdoor fixtures need to operate in extreme cold. iTETRA2 contains an innovative POLAR+ technology, a special standby mode with low power consumption, in which the fixture’s sensors and communications channels remain active. When activated, POLAR+ automatically maintains an internal temperature level, giving instant operability down to minus 50 degrees centigrade.

Pixel Control, Tight Beam, and Creative Effects

With the identical ultra-tight 4° beam from each of the 18 pixels of the original indoor TETRA2, the iTETRA2 produces a bright, defined “sheet” of light that Lighting Designers rely on for precise aerial looks and clean, structured beams.

Seamless curtains of light can be constructed using several fixtures as the detailed design allows iTETRA2 to be placed end to end on stage or truss, maintaining equal spacing between pixels. With the addition of two exclusive Robe patented MCFE (Multi-Coloured Flower Effects), the pixel-driven iTETRA2 sets itself apart by projecting charismatic in-air animations.

The homogenised beams, together with the smooth 11:1 zoom and two independent zoom zones, let you move from a tight aerial beam to broader looks (wash out to 45°), plus footlight, wall graze, or dynamic in-air effects with fast-paced sweeping movements. High-resolution electronic dimming (0 to 100%) with Robe’s L3 (Low Light Linearity) 18-bit dimming supports an imperceptible fade to black and ultra-smooth color transitions.

Color Control and Built-In Looks for Fast Programming

The iTetra2 uses 18x 40W RGBW LED multichips (minimum LED life expectancy 50,000 hours, typical lumen maintenance L70/B50 at 50,000 hours) and supports RGBW or CMY color mixing. For flexible white light, it includes variable CCT from 2,700K to 8,000K, plus tungsten lamp emulation options (750W, 1,000W, 1,200W, 2,000W, 2,500W) for whites from 2,700K to 4,200K with red shift and thermal delay. DataSwatch filters provide 237 pre-programmed colors and tones, including commonly used whites (2,700K, 3,200K, 4,200K, 5,600K, and 8,000K).

Individual control of each RGBW pixel enables detailed chases and graphics, supported by pre-programmed pixel effects with color, dimming, and strobe chases, waves, and pulses at variable speed and direction. Strobe and pulse effects include random looks, with an electronic strobe up to 20 Hz.

Calibration, Networking, and Service Tools

Removing the need for distracting pre-use tilt calibration movement, Robe’s patented MAPS (Motionless Absolute Positioning System) allows the fixture to fully calibrate while remaining static, useful when located within confined spaces.

An embedded Ethernet switch and a wide range of protocols (sACN, Art-Net, or Kling-Net) allow quick network installation and straightforward control from media servers, DMX, or the internal effects engine. Robe’s REAP (Robe Ethernet Access Portal) enables access to fixture information and diagnostics over Ethernet networks for installations requiring remote centralised monitoring of fixture performance.

By including NFC (Near-Field Communication) technology, you can access setup, diagnostic, and performance features, even without power, directly from your mobile device using the Robe Com app.
