The Obsidian Netron EN6D is a compact, installation-focused Ethernet to DMX gateway designed for DIN rail or wall mounting. It converts Art-Net or sACN lighting data to six DMX outputs (RDM compatible), making it a strong fit for architectural, venue, and permanent installs where flexible wiring, clean mounting, and reliable network distribution matter.

Flexible Installation and Connector Options

The innovative connector system lets you configure the NETRON EN6D with RJ45, screw-terminals, or IDC (insulation displacement connectors) using exchangeable plates. Plates can be installed on the top, bottom, or front of the unit, helping you match the node to tight enclosures, cable pathways, and installer preferences. For mounting, the DIN rail brackets can be swapped for wall mount brackets when a panel or backboard install is the better choice.

Network Protocol Support and Output Control

With support for RDM, Art-Net, and sACN, the NETRON EN6D integrates smoothly into modern networked lighting systems. Integrated factory and user presets help speed up deployment for common configurations, while advanced merge and routing features provide the control needed for more complex networks, such as multi-console, backup, or multi-source workflows.

Power Options and On-Device Setup

The NETRON EN6D can be powered by POE or a wide-range 9-48V DC input, offering flexibility for new builds and retrofit projects. A 1.3-inch OLED display with rotary knob supports local setup and confirmation in the field, and remote configuration is available via the internal webpage for faster updates across an installation.

Emergency Cue System (UL924)

Built for emergency lighting requirements, the NETRON EN6D is UL924 compliant and includes a dedicated emergency cue system with wet or dry contact closure and a prominent test button with integrated LED feedback. The device can record a custom cue or set all DMX channels to 100%, with a configurable emergency off timeout and the ability to exclude individual channels from the emergency cue. It also supports 99 internal cues with fade and delay time for controlled transitions when needed.

In addition to its gateway capabilities, the NETRON EN6D unlocks the ONYX NOVA 4-Universe License, making it a practical choice for users building or expanding an ONYX-based control system.
