The Netron EP2 is a compact Ethernet to DMX gateway with two RDM compatible ports designed for wall mount, truss mount and standalone installations. It is configurable via its internal web remote and powered over Ethernet or via the convenient USB-C connection.

Built for Art-Net and sACN workflows, the NEW Obsidian Netron EP2 XLR sACN Art-Net Node provides two optically isolated, bidirectional 5-pin DMX/RDM ports, making it suitable for distributing universes to fixtures, feeding DMX back into your network, or supporting RDM device management where your system allows. A locking RJ45 network connection helps keep your data and PoE feed secure in permanent installs, touring rigs, and truss-mounted setups.

Fast Setup, Local Feedback, and Remote Configuration

For quick deployments, the EP2 supports factory and user presets for plug and play setups. A 1.3 inch OLED display and rotary knob provide at-a-glance status and straightforward on-device navigation, while the internal webpage enables remote configuration from anywhere on the same network. For broader fleet management, NETRON CLU is supported for remote configuration and firmware updates.

Power and Mounting Options for Clean Installs

Power the unit via PoE 802.3af or the USB-C power option (5V, 2A) to match your infrastructure, from single-cable PoE runs to standalone locations where USB power is preferred. The powder-coated compact metal housing is designed for in-wall, on-wall, truss, and standalone mounting.

ONYX Integration and Licensing

The EP2 can connect to ONYX PC for a full four Universe Solution, unlocks the ONYX NOVA 4-Universe License, and is intended to integrate cleanly into Obsidian control ecosystems where Art-Net and sACN nodes are part of the workflow.
