NEW Elation KL Panel XL

The Elation KL PANEL XL is a full-color-spectrum LED soft light designed for Film and Television work where accurate white light, reliable output, and smooth coverage matter. It delivers high output, precise color temperature control, full-spectrum color rendering, and an even wash that works well as a key or fill light across a wide range of set environments.

Output, Color Quality, and Beam Coverage

At the heart of the KL PANEL XL is a highly efficient 544W 6-in-1 RGBWLC (Red, Green, Blue, White, Lime, Cyan) LED array that produces up to 44,000 total lumens. With a diffuser installed, the beam angle is 101° with a 159.4° field angle, helping you achieve a wide, soft spread with smooth falloff for interviews, cyc-wall washes, and broad ambient fills. Without the diffuser, the unit provides a 111° beam angle with a 155.4° field angle for a slightly more direct look while still maintaining the panel’s characteristic softness.

For white-light work, the fixture supports CCT adjustment from 2000 to 10000K with a CRI of 95, making it practical for matching warm tungsten looks, daylight environments, and mixed lighting conditions. Green shift adjustment is available for fine-tuning to cameras, other fixtures, or challenging ambient sources.

Creative Control for Looks and Effects

The optional 4x2 Section control adds additional creative capabilities for color effects and visual impact, useful for subtle movement, segmented looks, or building more dynamic backgrounds without adding separate fixtures.

Power Options and Rigging for Fast-Paced Sets

Compact and portable, the fixture can be mounted on a stand or suspended using any standard clamp or the included Junior pin adapter. A rugged housing with impact-resistant surrounds and base plate helps the KL PANEL XL handle the rough handling common on fast-paced sets.

The unit is fully self-contained with no external power supply required and includes internal power with power pass-through for cleaner cable management on set. It can also be remotely powered through its integrated 4-pin XLR 24-36 VDC battery input (battery not included), a practical option for locations and mobile rigs.

DMX, Network Control, and Onboard Operation

The KL PANEL XL can be operated through industry-standard DMX/RDM, as well as Art-Net and sACN protocols for integrated lighting networks. For quick changes at the fixture, it also supports stand-alone control via three encoders and an OLED display, giving instant access to Intensity, Color temperature, Green shift, and other key settings. The display and encoders are positioned on the bottom of the fixture to keep access easy while the KL PANEL XL is mounted on a stand. The integration of Elation’s E-FLY internal extended-range wireless DMX transceiver adds additional flexibility when running cable is impractical.
